A  tech enthusiast on emerging technologies that will transform the  business models of Banks and FinTech companies.   

 

I started my career in commercial banking in 2010 and held various managerial positions in both retail and corporate banking. Having worked in the banking and finance domain for 8 years, I witnessed rapid digital changes that took over the industry by a storm. I was keen to learn the technical perspective of digital banking. Therefore, I decided to pursue a  Master of Information Systems with specialization in Business Analytics from Deakin University of Australia. This was an exciting  opportunity to learn about the latest technologies in the world. 

 

I am also a MBA holder of University of West London (UK), Associate member of Chartered Institute of Marketers (UK) and Associate member of Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka. I wish to work as an IT consultant in Australia by providing solutions to clients  especially in the banking sector of Australia. 

 

The technologies are changing every second and it is crucial to be updated on these changes. Banks do not have physical presence anymore. In Australia, there are banks which operate online and  without a single branch. They call themselves FinTech firms. Fascinated by the emerging technologies, I started this blog to continue my research on emerging technologies and to build a network of like minded people.
